Accredited and professional investors

Most of the world's private-market venues serve investors who meet an accredited-investor or professional-investor standard in their own jurisdiction. These rules define investors with sufficient income, net worth, or professional experience that they are presumed able to bear the risks of private and illiquid investments without the same retail protections.

Whether a particular member qualifies depends on the rules of the country where they are based. Common thresholds include annual income or net-worth tests, professional experience in financial services, or status as an institution, fund, or corporate investor. The exact test is set by local law, not by Bridge Edge.

Institutions and professional bodies

Institutional investors — investment firms, family offices, funds, trusts, banks, insurers, and corporate vehicles acting on their own account — may join when they meet the applicable professional or institutional investor definition in their jurisdiction.

Under the active eligibility policy, additional eligible categories include qualified purchaser, family office, subject to applicable verification rules.

Under the registered eligibility policy, Bridge Edge welcomes qualified investors internationally, including US persons who complete verified accreditation.

What to expect from verification

Eligibility is confirmed through a governed verification process before a member can access protected research or express interest. This includes identity and eligibility checks appropriate to the member's jurisdiction, and for sellers, establishing a credible ownership basis for any position. Verification is not instant, and membership tiers, onboarding, or interest in a position do not by themselves confirm eligibility or create any right to trade.
